Over JOD 10.2 Billion Processed Through eFAWATEERcom in Just 8 Months
eFAWATEERcom continues to play a leading role in Jordan's digital payment ecosystem, recording over JOD 10.2 billion in transactions during the first eight months of the year. This milestone highlights the platform's growing importance in facilitating secure and efficient bill payments, particularly for government-related services.
This achievement comes as part of a broader surge in digital payment activity across the country. According to the latest monthly report from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC), the three instant payment systems operating in Jordan – CliQ, JoMoPay, and eFAWATEERcom – collectively processed 213 million digital payment transactions, with a total value nearing JOD 27 billion.
The report also revealed a significant year-on-year increase of 40.5% in the value of digital payments, amounting to an additional JOD 7.8 billion compared to the same period last year.
Breakdown of transaction values:
CliQ: ~JOD 13 billion, primarily for money transfers.
JoMoPay: ~JOD 4.14 billion, also dominated by money transfers.
eFAWATEERcom: ~JOD 10.2 billion, largely focused on bill payments for government entities and institutions.
These figures reflect the accelerating shift toward digital financial services in Jordan, with eFAWATEERcom at the forefront of enabling seamless access to essential services.
